So I’m a granddad…

And like all the things in Flip world…

It isn’t exactly a simple tale…

But I’m proud overjoyed and a little worried…

Ok I shall begin at the begin…

Son and heir splits with GF six months ago…

He is now at university and life is good…

Friday night his ex arrives for a visit…

Next morning she complains of stomach cramps…

The pain is severe and an ambulance is called…

You’re pregnant says the doctor…

Holy shit – says she and my son…

He calls his dad – that’ll be me…

“Dad she’s pregnant and I’m in shock…” he says…

“How do you know she’s pregnant..?” says I…

“Er we’re in the labour ward can you get here I dunno what to do…”

Holy fuck…

A three hour car journey later – my pup delivered at my mums…

We arrive to find son pacing and ex GF grunting…

She claims not to have known of the pregnancy…

In fact it transpires none of her family knew – not even her sister…

Her father drove through the night from France…

The upshot is baby Oscar…

It still hasn’t sunk in…

What the fuck happens next no one seems to know…

But he will be loved adored and cared for…

My son and his ex will need all our love and support…

And then some…

I feel proud shocked worried but mostly joyus…

I’m a granddad…
